Tempered glass is different from ordinary glass in that it requires small particle size after fragmentation to reduce the degree of injury caused by fragments.
The particles of tempered glass are one of the important indicators to measure the strength of tempered glass.The more particles the tempered glass has,the smaller it becomes,indicating that the strength of tempered glass is higher.
Usually,the particles of tempered glass increase with the increase of tempering stress.
The fragmentation test of tempered glass is also a mandatory item in 3C certification.
According to GB 15763.2"Tempered Glass",the standard for tempered glass particles is:
Within a 50mm x 50mm box,
3mm tempered glass with a particle size of≥30 particles;
4-12mm tempered glass with a particle size of≥40 particles;
Tempered glass with a particle size of≥30 for sizes greater than 15mm.
Calculation method for particle quantity:
If all the particles are inside the box,one particle is one particle;If the particles are pressed by the lines,one particle counts as half a particle.
Factors affecting the small particle size per unit area of tempered glass:
1.If the wind pressure is too small and there are many particles at the same temperature and time,the quenching air pressure of the tempering furnace can be appropriately increased.
2.The heating temperature is related,with the same heating time and wind pressure,there are more particles at higher temperatures.
3.The heating time is related to the same temperature and wind pressure,and the heating time is long with more particles.
4.If the heating is uneven,adjust the heating power of each zone reasonably,check if there are any furnace wires that are not heating and replace them in a timely manner.
